# JMPKit Field Notes Short, agent-readable essays about why JMPKit has its particular shape, when its ideas matter, and how an agent should reason about using it. Field Notes complement the operational documentation: > The docs explain how to use JMPKit. Field Notes explain why it works this > way and when it belongs naturally inside a solution. Start with `STARTER-KIT.md`, then use `index.json` or `index.md` to select only the note relevant to the current situation. Do not load the entire collection unless the task actually calls for broad product or systems reasoning. Each Field Note has a stable `FN-###` identifier. Notes are released together as numbered, dated issues whose records name the author and any consenting contributors. Published issues remain immutable; corrections or revisions are published in a later issue and retain the original note identifier. Field Notes are knowledge, not authority. Current API contracts, the user's intent, permissions, safety requirements, and observed system responses govern real actions.
