# Machine10 starter r4

Machine is JMPKit's app-scoped compute resource. It runs a small
x86-64 guest either once or as one retained Main Machine, while Gateway owns
identity, permissions, accounting, durable ordering, and access to other
JMPKit resources.

Revision 3 covers both public execution modes, the guest-facing ABI, the
current Q and Path motherboard surface, retained generations and timers, and
the Ziphost-first Origin fallback.

Machine is available through Gateway under contract v1. Treat the published
contract, capability matrix, and explicit bounds as authoritative.
